TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
INSAMETAL manufactures and installs, in steel and aluminium, a range of metallic acoustic barriers that reduce the acoustic pollution from road and train traffic.
The INSA P68 range has been designed with road and rail sound as reference, improving acoustic performance and optimising panel efficiency.
These sandwich type panels are composed of two sheet metal elements that, thanks to their perforated geometry, allows a resistance improvement against wind gusts. The side flaps allow a easy and efficient assembly.

ELEMENTS OF THE PANEL
INSAMETAL manufactures the barrier with hot-dip galvanizated steel sheets quality DX51D + Z140/275-NA according to UNE EN 10142 or with aluminium sheets. The finishing al appearance can be choose by client in any shade of RAL colour.
The panel is composed of two metallic elements: the absorbing side, oriented towards the noise source, is designed with multiple perforations (>33% surface area) that provide absorption; the reflecting side is smooth. The profiled geometry of these elements provides greater mechanical strength.
A rock wool sheet made of soundabsorbing material of varying thicknesses and densities depending on the acoustic requirements is housed inside.

STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS
Support structure of the panels is generally formed by HEA/HEB steel beams with an anchor plate welded and reinforced in some cases. The quality of the elements is S275JR according to EN 10025.
For the surface finish, all structural components are pre-galvanised in accordance with EN 1461. Then a thermolacquering process is applied, according to EN 15773.
FOUNDATIONS AND ANCHORING OF STEEL BEAMS
For anchoring the profiles to the foundation, bolts of varying length, diameter and quality are used depending on the requirements of each project. For the foundation, which provides structural stability to the screen and the surrounding soil, INSAMETAL makes two types: pilings and footings. These types of foundations are calculated according to the type of terrain, wind resistance etc.
SURFACE FINISHING
In addition to the hot-dip galvanized treatment that INSAMETAL applies to all steel components of the acoustic panel, in the last phase, thermo-lacquering, an anti-corrosion treatment, is applied.
The result is excellent resistance to adverse weathering, heat or deterioration caused by exposure to sunlight.
PHASE 1 PRE-TREATMENT
Preparation of panels for electrostatic powder coating.
Wash 1. 45º Phosphating.
Wash 2 . Room Temp. Water
PHASE 2. DRYING
The metallic components are introduced into the drying tunnel to remove the humidity. The oven temperature is between 80-100 ºC
PHASE 3. PAINT BOOTH
Automated process by robots and touch-up guns that guarantee the continuous and homogeneous application of the paint layers.
PHASE 4 POLYMERIZED OVEN
Thermal treatment to 200 ºC during 10-15 minutes. It is with the final stage of thermo-lacquering.
